I’m exploring not only what it means to be a healthy woman in this culture and age, but to also support our growth as individuals and how we show up in our communities
What Makes Me Different
I’m a hard-core science nerd with a deep respect for the holistic approach to health and life. Believe it or not, there is a science to self-care!
After earning my medical degree at Southern California School of Medicine and completing my residency at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, I wanted to expand my knowledge beyond conventional medicine.
In 2010 I graduated from California College of Ayurveda as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, which has truly expanded and informed my practice of medicine. Being able to integrate this incredible ancient healing tradition has been a game changer and allowed me to go deeper into the study of health and healing.
As more “natural” solutions, medicines, and technologies emerge in the global marketplace, I find myself referring back to Ayurveda- the original lifestyle medicine, which incorporates the mind, body, and spirit.
ON CHILDBIRTH & SEXUAL HEALTH
“If your BFF was your doctor, would TMI cease to exist?” is my motto with my patients.
Going to your gyno should be a empowering, supportive, and dare I say fun?I’ve had the honor of performing thousands deliveries as a partner at Women’s Care of Beverly Hills since 2004.
I believe it is a women’s right to make educated and empowered decisions around childbirth- from choosing her healthcare team to the right childbirth setting for her.
At my practice, I’ve been able to build relationships with incredible women as I help guide them through the different phases of their life- from adolescence to menopause. Whether it’s sexual health, preparing for conception, pregnancy, childbirth, or postpartum, it’s important to empower yourself with an abundance of accurate and science-backed information.
Our society is so obsessed with youth- more specifically “looking” younger- that we forget the value of growing confidently into the wise woman phase of our lives.
We need to de-stigmatize the aging process and enter what can be the greatest phase of our lives FEARLESSLY! The best way to do this is to continue empowering ourselves with knowledge, practice self care, and remain in community with those we choose to be our support system
This is why I’ve created the Menopause Bootcamp, a four-part workshop that empowers women through education about how to understand, prepare for and feel empowered through Menopause and Perimenopause.
All over the world there are cores of avant-garde people who have the special capacity to reach a new awareness before others. Their duty is to help by initiating and spreading new awareness. As long as they try to transmit just their intuitive knowledge – as long as they only speak the “language of the heart” – they are ineffective. To be influential they need to rationalize their “gut feeling”. They need to train themselves to become bilingual – that is to say to learn to combine the “language of the heart”, the transmission of their intuitive knowledge, with scientific language. It is becoming easier to combine these two languages
